Caring and washing instructions

How do I clean my lifeguard swimsuit? Rinse with fresh water after every use. Launder at least once per week with regular laundry detergent in warm water, using a normal wash cycle. No bleach, Woolite, fabric softener or dryer sheets, please. Laundering will remove the accumulation of pool chemicals, sunscreen and perspiration from the fabric. Your suit can be dried in the dryer. Just make sure there are no Velcro items in the dryer that could snag the fabric. Men’s and women’s shorts have Velcro pockets – please do not dry together with women’s swimsuits and rash guards!
Do not bundle up your uniform items or roll them in a towel. Mildew will start to grow within 24 hours, and mildew will destroy your suit’s fabric.

How do I clean my lifeguard rash guard? To care for your lifeguard rash guard rinse with fresh water after every use. Make sure that you launder your rash guard at least once per week with regular laundry detergent in warm water, using a sport fabric wash cycle. Also be sure to machine dry your rash guard as often as possible. Just make sure there are no Velcro items in the dryer that could snag the fabric. Men’s and women’s shorts have Velcro pockets – please do not dry along with them!

Do not bundle up your uniform items or roll them in a towel. Mildew will start to grow within 24 hours, and mildew will damage the stretch fabric. Also be sure not to allow your rash guard to hang dry- a wet rash guard is a heavy rash guard and will cause it to stretch and damage the fabric.

How do I clean my moisture wicking lifeguard tech shirt? We recommend you use only cold water, and turn the shirt inside out. Make sure that you launder your tech shirt at least once per week with regular laundry detergent or a special detergent formulated for technical wear. When drying it is best to hang it out to dry and avoid the dryer as the intense dry heat can damage the wicking and cooling properties of the fabric. You may tumble dry on low heat if necessary. Never dry clean, iron, steam press, bleach, or attempt to soften technical shirts.

What if my country does not have a postal code? You may type NA in this field.

Invoicing and receipts

Can you email me an invoice or receipt? Yes. See below for details.

How do I get a receipt for a credit card charge? An invoice/ receipt will be automatically generated once your items ship for online orders. Sometimes you may not receive this email because there are multiple email addresses on the account, the “bill to” email differs from the “ship to”, or our email server has marked it as spam. Email us at info@watersafety.com or call us at 1-800-987-7238 ext 4 if you need us to re-send this information.

Miscellaneous 

What does drop ship mean? To move (goods) from the manufacturer directly to the buyer without going through the usual distribution channels. This may be done to speed up the order process.

What is a packing slip? A packing slip is a shipping document that accompanies delivery packages, usually inside an attached shipping pouch on the outside of the package. This slip identifies the items inside of the container.

What does backorder mean? Sometimes we may not have everything you need at one time, so we will ship everything that we have in stock and place items that are temporarily out of stock on backorder. These items will be shipped separately once they are available again.

How do I know if an item has been placed on backorder? Review your packing slip. If an item is not circled, it has been placed on back order. This will most often be accompanied with a stamp that says “Back order to follow." To follow up on your backorder call us at 1-800-987-7238 ext. 4 or email us at info@watersafety.com.

New customers

Can I get personalized facility pricing while shopping on the web? Yes. You can set up your own personal online lifeguard store with your facility-specific products and prices.

How do I set up an account with Water Safety Products? You may fill out the Credit Application available on our web site Home Page, and pending approval, an account can be established.

Why do you need my credit card if I have filled out a credit application? Your first order with us will require a valid credit card. This will allow us to process your order without waiting for the completion of the credit application process.

Payment terms

What are the payment terms for commercial orders? The primary method of payment for commercial orders is Net 30 days. Please note that these terms will only be considered once a credit application has been completed and approved by the credit department (click here to download our credit application).

What are the payment terms for Government Purchase Orders? The primary method of payment for military, government agencies, and municipalities is Net 30 days with approved purchase order, or major credit card.

What are the payment terms for International Orders? The primary method of payment for international orders is payment in advance by wire transfer. Your order will be shipped after bank acknowledgment of funds transfer. Please note that order changes will not be accepted once a Pro Forma invoice has been issued for international orders. Other payment options include advance payment via major credit card such as Visa, MasterCard, American Express, or Discover. The Water Safety Products store for lifeguards recognizes that each international buyer is unique. What are the payment terms for Personal Orders? The primary method of payment for personal orders is by major credit card or pre-payment. When calling for an order, please have your order information, credit card number, and credit card billing address available.

Can I pay with a purchase order? Yes, please complete the credit application here. Due to the length in time to process a credit application, it is recommended for customers to provide a valid credit card for their first order.

Can I pay with credit card? We accept most major credit cards.

Are freight charges applicable to my order? Freight Charges are added to all orders. Most orders are F.O.B. Indian Harbour Beach, Florida unless otherwise specified.

Samples

Can I request samples? Yes, samples are available on request.

Do I need to pay for sample requests? They are billed Net 30 days, or to your credit card. You will be eligible to receive a credit for your sample if you return it to us unused within 30 days. If you prefer to test the garments, the invoice must be paid within 30 days. Please note shipping charges apply.

Returns, Exchanges, and Refunds

If something doesn’t fit, how do I exchange it? Call Customer Service at 1-800-987-7238 ext. 4 and get a Return Authorization Number to exchange the item for a different size; you will be responsible for the shipping charges.

Can I make a return or exchange? Yes, you may return or exchange most products. However, exceptions to this are listed on our returns and exchanges page of our website. Please note that all returns must be pre-authorized by a Water Safety Products associate. Allow us to assist you with your return or exchange by calling us at 1-800-987-7238 or email us at info@watersafety.com.

How do I return or exchange a product? Visit our returns and exchanges page for a step by step process on returning your product. Also please note that there is a 15% restock fee, unless the return is due to our error.

Does Water Safety Products give cash refunds? Cash refunds will be issued only in the case of overpayment, not on returns. Credit to your account will be issued on returns, and must be used within one (1) year of issue date.

Shipping inquiries

Can Water Safety Products deliver? Water Safety Products, Inc. stocks inventory year-round, with our peak shipping season being March through June. Normally orders leave our warehouse within 48 hours. No delivery request is considered unreasonable; please do not hesitate to ask. Please keep in mind that custom or drop ship items require additional lead time; call for delivery information on your custom order.

How long will it take for my order to be delivered? Most orders will ship within 48 hours. However, certain items may take longer than others, to confirm the delivery speed of your order call us at 1-800-987-7238 or email us info@watersafety.com.

Do you ship internationally? Yes, we have been shipping lifeguard equipment and uniforms internationally for over 25 years and are ready to help you make your order. For assistance with your international order please contact us at info@watersafety.com .

Why do the shipping charges on certain items, like rescue tubes and backboards, seem a little high? Large, bulky, items, such as rescue tubes, backboards, ring buoys, umbrellas, and life jackets, are shipped by dimension and weight, and require additional handling charges.

When will my order ship? Your order will ship out ASAP. If everything is currently in stock we will process your order in 1-2 business days. If your order requires customization such as logos on a uniform, or has drop ship items, it may require more time to prepare. What if I chose ship your order complete? We will not ship your order until all of your items are in stock, this may create a delay. If you need your order urgently or would like to find out more about your order please call us at any time at 1-800-987-7238 ext. 4 or email us at info@watersafety.com.

What if I do not receive my full order? If you did not choose to ship your order complete, you may receive your order in partial shipments. If you do not receive your full order, you can check the packing slip included with your shipment. Any items that have not been circled on the packing slip are on backorder and will be sent to you ASAP.

Where is my order/ how do I get a tracking number? You should receive an invoice email with your tracking number for your order. If you did not receive this email, you may call us at 1-800-987-7238 or email us at info@watersafety.com .

Tax exempt

I'm tax exempt. Can I get a refund of the sales tax on my order? Yes; however, you will need to email us a copy of your valid tax exempt certificate. Email to info@watersafety.com.

I’m tax exempt. How to I make an online order? In order to do this you will need a specific approval coder. Just give us a call at 1-800-987-7238, ext. 4 or email us at info@watersafety.com and we will assist with your online tax exempt order.

Creating or editing your order

Can I add to/edit my order once I submit it online? Yes. Call Customer Service at 1-800-987-7238, ext. 4, and we can add to or edit your online order if it has not yet been processed.

When is the best time to order? The Water Safety Products store for lifeguards is open for phone calls Monday-Friday 8:30am to 5:30pm (Eastern Time). You may place an order any time at our online store. Please note that we will only be able to process your order during our normal hours of operation.

How long will it take to process my order? It is our goal to process and ship your order within 48 hours. However, we may experience delays if your order includes custom screen printed or embroidered uniforms; includes fast or slow moving products; is placed during a major holiday period; or is placed during our busiest season (march through June).
