Pros: The velcro straps on top work well to hold ponchos or small towels.

Cons: At my waterpark these are the newer hip packs being given to new lifeguards. I've noticed the bottom of the water bottle holder has broken on many hip packs and the main waist strap has broken on several due to impact of entry into the water during training and rescues. This can obviously be a major concern if you rescue someone but your hip pack isn't anywhere near you anymore.

Pros: The hip pack is unique, convenient, and overall comfortable. The three zipper compartment is great for separating your personal, safety, and business equipment. The Seal Easy clip is a faster way to reach the seal in an emergency situation. It is large enough to allow add-ons such as watches, glove packs, and cell phone bags.

Cons: The stitching for the bottle holder does come apart if too much wait is on it, such as, a 20 oz. full bottle. It is larger than the average hip pack, so not for the smaller guards.
