How do I clean my lifeguard swimsuit? Rinse with fresh water after every use. Launder at least once per week with regular laundry detergent in warm water, using a normal wash cycle. No bleach, Woolite, fabric softener or dryer sheets, please. Laundering will remove the accumulation of pool chemicals, sunscreen and perspiration from the fabric. Your suit can be dried in the dryer. Just make sure there are no Velcro items in the dryer that could snag the fabric. Men’s and women’s shorts have Velcro pockets – please do not dry together with women’s swimsuits and rash guards!
Do not bundle up your uniform items or roll them in a towel. Mildew will start to grow within 24 hours, and mildew will destroy your suit’s fabric.
How do I clean my lifeguard rash guard? To care for your lifeguard rash guard rinse with fresh water after every use. Make sure that you launder your rash guard at least once per week with regular laundry detergent in warm water, using a sport fabric wash cycle. Also be sure to machine dry your rash guard as often as possible. Just make sure there are no Velcro items in the dryer that could snag the fabric. Men’s and women’s shorts have Velcro pockets – please do not dry along with them!

How do I clean my moisture wicking lifeguard tech shirt? We recommend you use only cold water, and turn the shirt inside out. Make sure that you launder your tech shirt at least once per week with regular laundry detergent or a special detergent formulated for technical wear. When drying it is best to hang it out to dry and avoid the dryer as the intense dry heat can damage the wicking and cooling properties of the fabric. You may tumble dry on low heat if necessary. Never dry clean, iron, steam press, bleach, or attempt to soften technical shirts.

How do I get a receipt for a credit card charge? An invoice/ receipt will be automatically generated once your items ship for online orders. Sometimes you may not receive this email because there are multiple email addresses on the account, the “bill to” email differs from the “ship to”, or our email server has marked it as spam. What does drop ship mean? To move (goods) from the manufacturer directly to the buyer without going through the usual distribution channels. This may be done to speed up the order process.
What is a packing slip? A packing slip is a shipping document that accompanies delivery packages, usually inside an attached shipping pouch on the outside of the package. This slip identifies the items inside of the container.
What does backorder mean? Sometimes we may not have everything you need at one time, so we will ship everything that we have in stock and place items that are temporarily out of stock on backorder. These items will be shipped separately once they are available again.
How do I know if an item has been placed on backorder? Review your packing slip. If an item is not circled, it has been placed on back order. Can I get personalized facility pricing while shopping on the web? Yes. You can set up your own personal online lifeguard store with your facility-specific products and prices.
How do I set up an account with Water Safety Products? You may fill out the Credit Application available on our web site Home Page, and pending approval, an account can be established.
Why do you need my credit card if I have filled out a credit application? Your first order with us will require a valid credit card. This will allow us to process your order without waiting for the completion of the credit application process.
What are the payment terms for commercial orders? The primary method of payment for commercial orders is Net 30 days. Please note that these terms will only be considered once a credit application has been completed and approved by the credit department (click here to download our credit application).

Do I need to pay for sample requests? They are billed Net 30 days, or to your credit card. You will be eligible to receive a credit for your sample if you return it to us unused within 30 days. If you prefer to test the garments, the invoice must be paid within 30 days. Please note shipping charges apply.
Returns, Exchanges, and Refunds
If something doesn’t fit, how do I exchange it? Call Customer Service at 1-800-987-7238 ext. 4 and get a Return Authorization Number to exchange the item for a different size; you will be responsible for the shipping charges.
Can I make a return or exchange? Yes, you may return or exchange most products. However, exceptions to this are listed on our returns and exchanges page of our website. Please note that all returns must be pre-authorized by a Water Safety Products associate. Can Water Safety Products deliver? Water Safety Products, Inc. stocks inventory year-round, with our peak shipping season being March through June. Why do the shipping charges on certain items, like rescue tubes and backboards, seem a little high? Large, bulky, items, such as rescue tubes, backboards, ring buoys, umbrellas, and life jackets, are shipped by dimension and weight, and require additional handling charges.

If your order requires customization such as logos on a uniform, or has drop ship items, it may require more time to prepare. What if I chose ship your order complete? We will not ship your order until all of your items are in stock, this may create a delay. Creating or editing your order
Can I add to/edit my order once I submit it online? Yes. Call Customer Service at 1-800-987-7238, ext. 4, and we can add to or edit your online order if it has not yet been processed.
When is the best time to order? The Water Safety Products store for lifeguards is open for phone calls Monday-Friday 8:30am to 5:30pm (Eastern Time). How long will it take to process my order? It is our goal to process and ship your order within 48 hours.
