Operation:
- How to Turn ON: Press the button located on the heel of the IAN device to power it on. A single long beep will confirm activation. Once turned on, the device will emit a siren every 5 minutes until manually powered off.
- How to Turn OFF: Press the button on the heel of the IAN device to power it off.
- 3 Beeps: The device will beep 3 times in a row when batteries are getting low.
- Batteries: Ian requires 3 AAA batteries (sold separately). To replace the batteries, unscrew the button side of the case. When inserting the battery pack, ensure the arrow is oriented toward the interior of the device.
- Estimated Battery Life: AAA batteries with a capacity of 850mAh provide an estimated 310 hours of continuous operation. When used for 8 hours per day and turned off after each use, this equates to approximately 38 days of service. For extended performance, Energizer Ultimate Lithium AAA batteries, with a 1250mAh capacity, offer up to 456 hours of continuous use.
